Engineering Technician

Job Description

We are seeking an  Engineering Technician to be responsible for product performance testing and maintenance of testing records under the guidance of a Design Engineer. 

Responsibilities:  Construct prototype products for testing and evaluation.  Perform air and/or sound performance testing per AMCA standards.  Perform safety testing, such as motor heat rise, as required for agency listing, UL and ETL.  Assist Design Engineers with product evaluations testing as required for specific design projects.  This includes prototype construction and tests as required.  Maintain records for all testing that is performed in the laboratory, including air, sound and agency testing.  Calibrate and maintain testing equipment in accordance with ISO procedures.  Facilitate agency, UL and ETL, quarterly inspections visits.  Conduct tours of the lab facilities for company sponsored Rep visits and training classes. 

Education and/or Experience:  Minimum 2 year degree in Design/Industrial Technology, and/or 3-5 years equivalent experience in manufacturing.  Previous experience with product testing and documentation preferred.
