Mechanical Product / CAD Designer

Job Description

We are currently expanding our Engineering team and looking for an experienced Mechanical Product/CAD Designer to design and document air moving equipment under the guidance of a Mechanical Design Engineer.

 Responsibilities

• Create 3D models and assemblies of equipment as required for assigned project.
• Generate the required 2D drawings to document the design and communicate requirements to production personnel and/or customers.
• Support production as required to communicate design intent to shop personnel.
• Collaborate with Design Engineer on the development of products to ensure that design standards and structural integrity are maintained.
• Maintain existing drawings and complete work within the Engineering Change system as required.

Qualifications, Experience & Education:

• Degree in Drafting/Design, Industrial Technology or a relevant degree
• Experience in mechanical design utilizing CAD software.
• Hands-on design experience with sheet metal products
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor desired
